Peek-a-Boo

Monkey loves to play peek-a-boo......where's Monkey......THERE SHE IS!!!  Oh she can do it for hours, seriously, HOURS!  She is also really into playing keep away and "tag".  One of her favorite pass times outside.  She loves it.  Here she is playing a bit of tag and a bit of peek-a-boo!

So Monkey discovered that after a good rain the ground isn't hard!!!  Yes, the ground isn't hard and you can fall back into the grass and roll around!  It was so funny watching her plant her little behind on the ground, fall backwards and roll around.  She was a bit muddy when she was done and went straight to the bathtub!!!  I got alot of good pictures of her from this day so stay tuned for more, I have been a bit busy lately with the end of the school year!

10 Things Uncle Tay learned yesterday......

Uncle Taylor decided to surprise Monkey yesterday with a visit.  He sat outside with us on our new patio and watched us play, now that Monkey is 18 months old she is really full of it......and this is what Uncle Tay learned about Monkey yesterday, (some things he already knew, but just got a reminder):

1.  Not to give her Gatorade if he doesn't want to continuously give it to her (she will get mad, very mad)
2.  That you don't have to hold on to drive a Barbie Jeep!

3.  The Carpi sun is more fun to dump out on the the patio than to drink.
4.  That Monkey can curl her tongue.

5.  Just like him as a little kid she loves her juice and fishy crackers (that hasn't changed for Tay).
6.  Give her colors and a coloring book and she is just fine for hours.
7.  She loves Big Time Rush (Boyboyboy friend) and Glee!
8.  She is wild when she gets out of the tub, and won't be quiet!
9.  That she doesn't mind sitting a big chair after she dumps out all of her water onto it.

10.  She is a great cuddler!

Patio Step 3!!!!!!!

Troy finished our patio yesterday!  Its amazing how much it changes from each step.  I really should have uploaded pictures of what it looked like before it was sealed- but I didn't think it would change this much!  It is AWESOME!  I love it, I can wait to grill and read and let Monkey play on it!  She can't wait, she wanted on there last night, but since he just sealed it and didn't think that was such a good idea!  If the rain holds off maybe this afternoon!

Patio Step 2!!!!!

Wow!!!  Step 2 is done!!!  The dark color and the stamping was finished yesterday!!!  I was so excited to see it done and I love it!  Hopefully today they put the light colors on it and seal it all up......tomorrow cut it into 3x3 squares!

Awesome!!!!  Monkey and I can't wait to sit on it and have fun!

Playing in water.....

So last week Monkey decided to play with the hose.  It was hot out, especially since we could only play on the west side of the house!  Crazy Iowa, last week 90 last night frost advisory!!!!  Please mother nature, make up your mind!!!  Notice we already changed our clothes because we got strawberry lemonade all over us...........it started out trying to drink the water- it turned into running around in just our diaper!

Our new patio has begun!!!

Today I came home from work and peeked out the sliding door and............... our the fill for our new patio was done!!!  YES!  I finally got to see how big our patio was really going to be!  I am so glad that we decided to go big!!!!!  This is going to be awesome!!! 

I love Donuts!!!

Monkey LOVES  donuts, she could eat them every morning if I let her.  Saturday she not only ate all of the cereal that I put in her bowl, but a whole cream filled donut!!!!  I think she just likes getting messy!!!

Ps, that donut was supposed to be mine!!!!

Mother's Day!

We spent the day by going to Harmony and looking at outdoor furniture for our new patio that hopefully will be poured this week!!!  We than went to Wally World along with everyone else in the world.  Than we stopped at the new greenhouse that opened up to buy 5 hanging baskets for the porch.  They are huge!!!  Thanks Monkey for the lovely card you and daddy made while I was making breakfast (note to self on father's day Dennis is making breakfast, lunch and dinner for ME) LOL!!!  After we got home we played outside for a long time, Dennis gave Monkey a ride on the lawnmower because she wouldn't get off after they moved it 5 feet!!!  After the ride she wanted to sit on it BY HERSELF!!! NO DADDY, DON"T TOUCH!!!!  You will see from the photo!!!

Her dad doesn't call her Goofy for nothin'!

So when grandma Sherry came and visited she taught us how to drink from a Dt. Dew 20 oz bottle.......now I have to hide them from Monkey!!!  The other day we were out playing and I had my Dew out, of course we just HAD to have some!!!  I am such a sucker!!!!!  We didn't get much playing in outside, but we did drink some pop.....not much, I think more ran down her chin than it went in her mouth!

Golf Anyone?

I am so ready for spring!!!  The sun shines one day and than doesn't the next....60 to 40 in a day!  Wow, I love Iowa.......so I am going to post these pictures of a very wet Monkey.....getting ready to golf, she even has the plaid on the shirt! 

Growing up......

Yesterday I was in the kitchen making supper...new baked ziti recipe from allrecipes.  Monkey was watching Shrek, again, and I turned around and she had her stocking cap on, my red dress shoes and her bottle cooler, which she is using as a purse!  She did a pretty good job of walking in my shoes!  Of course I wasn't quick enough to get the camera and get the picture with the shoes on!  She was so proud that she got them on, she has been trying to do this for months!!!
She wants to grow up so fast, I want her to take her time......I'm sure she will win!
