We swam so much the other day I gave up trying to put clothes on Monkey!  After we were done we decided to do what we do best DANCE!  Of course there was no music playing...but who needs music when we can sing!!!!

The River, JetSkiing and having fun!

Oh did we have fun this weekend!!!  We played with cousin Austin, Gabe and Lexi at the river, played in the pool, we rode the boat, DROVE the boat and rode and drove the jetski as well.  Of course we fell asleep on both the boat and the jetski!  We had a great time on the river at grandma and grandpas!  Maybe we should change Monkey's name to fish, well than again she never stops climbing so we will keep calling her monkey!!!

Its raining its pouring!

Yes is pouring out, and boy is it foggy!  Monkey is chowing down on her breakfast, Dennis is home for the week!  So yesterday Monkey decided to try to wear one of my shirts, of course she does this all the time, this time it worked, however there wasn't a diaper on!  Man can she sing and dance!  She loves it, she will sing to anyone and everyone that will listen.  Of course she will talk your ear off when she is not singing!!!  She dance and sang for 30 minutes before I wrestled her into her diaper and clothes!

Mornings, Mt. Dew and Hawkeye Sweats

1-Monkey is very goofy in the mornings!
2-No she didn't really drink the Mt Dew!
3 The sweats were hosed down because of a bubble incident and we were running around in just our diaper before 10 am!

What a Ham!

So Monkey was really hamin' it up for the camera yesterday!  I hope she smiles that well for Tab's wedding!  She was loving having her picture taken!!!  She was a really good girl today, a VERY VERY good girl!  I love it when she is happy, as long as she gets her nap she usually is!  But, man is she busy!  I can't seem to get anything done when she is awake....well I do...its picking up after her!!!!

Pete's Burgers

So Monkey had her first burger from Pete's Burgers a while back.  She LOVED THEM!  The child is a bottomless pit sometimes!  I whole one of Pete's Burgers with Ketchup, Hot Mustard and Regular Mustard.....the only thing missing ......onions.  On the weekends we will make a special trip to the River, Prairie duChein WI, downtown they have a great shoe store and many other really nice stores and across from Starks (cheap, cheap liquor) is a small burger stand.  Something you would see at the State Fair, maybe even smaller.  Its family business that has been around for 125 years, yes that is right 125 years in the same spot in old Prairie duChein.  The cook them in water and onions on a larger flat grill and serve them on bakery fresh buns.  They open in late April and stay open until late Sept,  and are only open on the weekends, believe me we have gone there on the 4th of July and they aren't open.
We love going to get burgers, sometimes you have to stand in line for an hour......yes an hour, but it is worth it as long as I walk up and down the streets going into the nice specialty shops that are open on Sunday for tourists.  The guys stand in the long line in the hot sun, but it is worth every second!  We take them down to the park that is right by the Mississippi River and eat them.  Sometimes there is a flee market or  hundreds of people dress up like old Indians and settlers (there is a lot of history in that town, its beautiful!!!)

Monkey loves them and so do her mommy and daddy, which makes me happy, I don't want to give up this tradition!!!

A face only a mother could love...

On Monday I talked to my grandma on the phone and she and I talked about how when I was little she used to let me play in the mud in my underwear.  Grandpa would get so mad that she was letting a little girl play in nothing but her undies!  Of course I didn't care nor did grandma!  Well ironically that afternoon I was out watering the flowers and after I had gotten done watering my small herb pots I had to put the hose away.  Monkey found a shovel and decided to play in the herb pots.......needless to say I don't have any herbs left!  It reminded me of all the great times grandma and I shared when I was little!!!  These aren't the greatest pictures because I had to take them in the garage with my video camera, and let me tell you they don't do her little messy self justice!

How hot is Hot???

90+ that is hot!  What a way to start out June!  Monkey loves to go outside, so we piled on the sunblock and got the pool out, callED Skinny and Minny and splashed the day away!  Of course towards the end of the day we also played on the jeep (we learned we could drive the big jeep) and than put on mommy's old Floppy Shirt......of course that didn't keep her out of the pool!!!!   Its a good thing she likes to wear hats!  We might have to get into the pool again today, it H-O-T!

1st Day of Summer Vacation!

Well its been a busy week, but I can finally sit down and post to the blog.  With summer now here HOPEFULLY I can blog even more, and of course take TONS of pictures of Monkey.  The first morning of summer was very busy......... we "talked" on the phone, "helped" fold laundry, played with sidewalk chalk, drove the jeep, played on the slide, and helped mom water flowers and this was all before noon!  I think Mommy will be on her toes this summer!!!!
